I just want to give a quick shout-out to Ian Goodfellow of GAN (Generative Adversarial Network) fame, but NOT for the normal stuff he’s famous for: GANs, his Deep Learning book, etc.
Despite being a Deep Learning / AI celebrity, he took the time in late 2016 (years after his GAN paper) to publish a simple blog post on how to use LaTeX in Jekyll. That small post is what helped me get LaTeX working on this site and is a key piece of motivation for me to keep this blog going. It proves even small, seemingly simple posts like that can be very helpful, even years later.
So with that let me thank Ian for his post and wish that we had a few more “Goodfellows” in the world who go out of their way to share their knowledge.
