Blog Goals

This is my third attempt at keeping a blog. After quickly abandoning the previous two attempts, this time my approach is going to be a bit different. With that in mind, my two big, initial goals for this blog are that it will:

1. Be more free-form

My previous blogs were more like “portfolio blogs” where I wrote about some project I worked on for a good amount of time. This limited the scope of things I ended up writing about to essentially data science projects. This time around I aim to cover a wider range of topics that interest me. (I’ll plan to discuss possible topics more in a future post.) This will hopefully allow this blog to appeal to a broader set of people.

2. Have more frequent, but shorter posts

In my previous blogs, the posts were longer, took more time to write, and there were necessarily fewer. This time, my initial goal is to publish one post a day. The posts will necessarily be shorter, but this means they’ll be quick to read.

This is honestly more aligned with how I would like to deliver value to my readers, which is trying to provide as much value as possible in as little time as possible:

\[\underset{\operatorname{blog}}{\operatorname{argmax}}( \frac{\operatorname{value}(\operatorname{blog})}{\operatorname{time}(\operatorname{blog})} )\]

In that spirit, I’ll conclude for now.

I sincerely hope you’ll stick around for more in the future!
